I spent the last few years wondering if I'd actually be happier somewhere else. And today, I'm finding out. I'm leaving Australia, but there's one thing I can't stop wondering.
What if the problem isn't Australia? What if it's me? Well, by the end of today, I'll be somewhere completely different.
So, let's see if I've made a huge mistake or not. Something has changed about life in Australia. And I'm sure I'm not the only one feeling it.
I mean, we all know the usual problems here. But the moment I realized I needed to leave wasn't actually for a reason that you might expect.
It was basically this. I used to love trying different kinds of restaurants. It was one of the things I'd really look forward to.
And then at some point, I realized that every time I went out, I came home feeling disappointed. It was never as I expected.
And eventually, I just stopped wanting to go because I already knew how it was going to end. And I know that sounds like a really stupid reason to question where you live.
But honestly, it wasn't really about the food. Eventually, I felt this way about a lot of things. And so, I started leaving the house less Besides work, my life was basically confined to my house.
So, I'm moving to China for a while. Now, I'm aware that's a pretty big reaction. But honestly, I've always wanted to live abroad for a while.
So, I suppose I finally have an excuse, right? There aren't any direct international flights from Canberra.
So, I have to get the coach to Sydney Airport. And the highway is closed at the moment, so I'm hoping by the time we get there, uh the highway has reopened.
>> So, we've got another 3 and 1/2 hours on a bus driving on a highway that could be potentially closed because of a fire.
