Real English Is Not What You Learned in School

Right, welcome back to the English Channel. And remember, this 20-minute vlog is the same thing as a 1-hour English class. And how is that?

Through comprehensible input. So, I'll be showing you things like you see this here? This is a construction site and these people are currently constructing a building. That big thing there is called a crane and a crane is used to carry heavy things.

So, that is what comprehensible input is. When I show you easy English vocabulary, so you can see the image and remember your new word.

And today I am walking home. This morning I had a 1-hour driving lesson. I have driving lessons every Monday and Fridays for the next 2 weeks. I just got to finish, I think, 3 more hours and then I can take my driving test. So, that's what I did this morning. It was in the uh um town square. It was in the city center.

So, I went to the city center and then after that I had to do a blood test. And what a blood test is is when you take a needle and you take blood out of your body and they put it in a machine and they test your blood. So, I had to do a a blood test and I had to I had a driving lesson earlier today.

So, that's pretty much what I did this morning. Let's learn some easy English. So, this in front of me, this here, you see this? It's a metal thing. This is called a fence. And what a fence is used is to keep people from going inside somewhere. It's to keep people blocked out. So, that there was a fence.

To the left of me here, or sorry, to the right here, to the right, this is called a barrier. is used for the same reason that a fence is used. A barrier is used to keep people out.

Oh, and here they have a Looks like a Here, this is called just a layout of the Port of Antibes. You guys see this little layout?

Pretty cool. Here, it's a bit complicated to walk. You guys see how I'll show you what I mean. Normally, the sidewalk goes is here, but the fence is blocking the sidewalk, so I have to walk to the left over here and make sure there's no bikes coming. And look, there's one bike coming in front

of me. Then there was another one coming behind me. So, I have to walk on the bike path. It's a little bit dangerous.

But it's okay. You just got to look both ways before you cross the road. And here, look. Remember the construction site we were saw earlier?
